the word spoken and the spirit
It has been a while, but I've been through a lot. I have been watching a lot of Christian TV and have been impressed with this: It is The Word spoken and the Spirit that accomplishes. In Genesis God spoke the Word (Jesus) and the Spirit moved to accomplish it. We are formed in the image of God, to be like God. We must speak the Word and believe that the Sprit will accomplish what we speak. God did not doubt that when He said "let there be light" that light was going to show up. He knew that the Word would be accomplished by His Spirit. We have to be right there. So filled with the Father's Love for us that we KNOW--we speak Jesus and Holy Spirit will accomplish it. I would like to recommend God TV. Mark Stibbe was on the latest "I want More Conference" and he was awesome. I just received another dose of The Love of The Father.---be blessed---c

Exodus the departure
The word for today is Exodus 6: 8 and 9. A paraphrase (c3): -- I will bring you into the land that I swore to give your forefathers and it will be your very own property. I AM the Lord! So Moses went and told the people what The Lord had said, but they would not listen anymore. They had become too discouraged by the increasing burden of their slavery.--
The burden of their slavery had taken over their believer. The vision had gotten buried under circumstances. Hopelessness had swallowed up hope. Their ancestor Abraham had received the word of the slavery and the deliverance. That story had been handed down through time to the people that Moses was talking to. Instead of looking at the promise of God, they had successfully been taken over by the cares of this world. Their slavery had been bad enough before, but just before this in scripture, the Hebrew slaves had been told to not only make as many bricks as they did before, but now they had to get the straw themselves also. What we need to take away from this:
Sometimes things get worse before they get better.
God's promises are true.
Believe everything that God tells you.
I think that if the children of Israel would have listened to Moses and just packed up and left, the Lord would have protected them and they could have walked right out---by faith. But there are a lot of lessons about human nature that we would not have in the bible if they had just believed the Word and acted on it. This blog could get really long if I chase that down.---Be Blessed---c

Abba Father
I hope everyone had a good Easter. Angel Cabrera wins the Masters and gives me great hope for someone turning 46. Maybe I'm not as old as I feel--ha-ha. Kenny Perry in the playoff with him was set up to be the oldest ever winner at 48+.
The victory that we celebrated yesterday in Christ is the real win. The verses that came to me this morning are Gal. 4:6-7. "And because you Gentiles have become His children, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, and now you can call God your dear Father. Now you are no longer a slave, but God's own child. And since you are His child, everything He has belongs to you."
In this time of fear and unbelief in the economy, this word should bring great comfort to His children. As we look up and say, "Abba Father", I know that He hears us and will work for our good. The Father will work for our good to bring Glory to His name. We just trust Him and know that He owns everything and if He owns it then we own it.
I don't see anywhere in the Bible where we are told to store up our treasure in the US Stock market, or trust ye your 401K. I will try to keep my focus on Abba Father, and I will not look to the right or the left.

Top of the day
Everyday is a day of potential. We don't know what is going to happen. I always try to start the day with the mind of Christ. Whenever problems, questions interrogations or temptations attacked Jesus, He returned to them with The Word. Today my word is Jer. 15:20 "They will fight against you like an attacking army, but I will make you as secure as a fortified wall. They will not conquer you, for I will protect and deliver you. I, the Lord, have spoken."
What a word to start the day! Whatever comes today, I will say be to me according to Your Word. That's the words of Mary, the mother of Jesus, when she was told that she would deliver to the world Our Savior. That is Faith. May all who read this be Blessed today.---c
